RELATED: Why the 2K23 WNBA Edition Matters for the Future

Teams that missed out on finding the power forward of their dreams in NBA 2K23 haven’t given up hope and a player in MyCareer can be exactly what they need to compete. For a select few teams, gamers can take a team to the championship they desire within just a year or two.

Chicago Bulls

Patrick Williams is the lowest-rated starting power forward in the game, so players who are interested in starting as soon as possible should play for the Bulls without any hesitation. It also helps that the rest of the team is fantastic.

Specifically, the guards are excellent distributors. Zach LaVine prefers to get his scoring done on the inside, so power forwards that invest in some of the best shooting badges available will manage to get some open looks at three-point shots, a rarity for the power forward position.

Phoenix Suns

There are only two squads in the game with two 90+ players. The first is the Lakers, but Anthony Davis has the power forward position locked up there. The next is the Phoenix Suns, who have the best combo of guards in the game when looking at the ratings.

They need some big-time help at the power forward position. This team is very clearly one power forward away from a championship title, the player can make that happen with ease. Those who grab a few important playmaking badges can hit the guards on the perimeter to generate some easy three-pointers.

Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers are one power forward short of winning it all. And they knew it; they had Ben Simmons, but he failed to capitalize on key moments and then held out until he got traded. This left an obvious gap in a team that is otherwise very complete.

With James Harden tossing up threes and Joel Embiid throwing it down from short range, consider going heavy on defense. By getting a power forward with the best defense and rebounding badges in the game, the 76ers will finally get over the heartbreak and win the big one.

Sacramento Kings

Of all the teams on this list, the Sacramento Kings are the only team that can be labeled as “bad.” Unfortunately, the previous three teams are the only teams with a sub-80 starter while having all the rest of their starters sitting at an 80+. Players then have to choose between bad teams and teams that are tough to get the starting job on.

It’s easy to make this squad, the challenge is overcoming the other sub-80 at shooting guard. Get top-tier finishing badges and become this team’s loan superstar. Gamers that want all the focus to be on them will find that playing power forward for the Kings is as good as it gets.

Boston Celtics

Converse to the Kings, players can play on a great team, one that came close to winning it all just last year, but they’ll have to be patient as they level up. By the end of the first season, gamers should be able to catch and surpass Al Horford and make it to the starting lineup.

Those who are patient will be rewarded with a very complete team, one that plays as a unit. Any player on this team can get hot at any moment. Of course, that can include the player. Between these five, the very next season could be the one that gets the Celtics back on track with the start of another dynasty.

NBA 2K23 is available now for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
