Pairing the new season of MyTeam with the NBA Playoffs is bringing in new Dark Matter units, the game’s highest-tiered card, and locker codes for free rewards every week. Along with NBA 2K22 introducing the Daily Log-In Challenge, the player base has more content than ever and plenty of challenges to keep them occupied.

The Limited Edition 4 Pack is now live, introducing six new Dark Matter units to collect. Following the announcement of Dark Matter Chris Bosh hitting NBA 2K22, 2K Sports announced the arrival of 99-overall Dark Matter units Alonzo Mourning, Glenn Robinson, Carmelo Anthony, Damian Lillard, and Jimmy Butler. The pack is available for purchase for one week only, and players buying the 20-pack box will be guaranteed one of Anthony, Lillard, Butler, or Bosh, but the obtained unit will be non-auctionable. Each card can give a major boost to a player’s roster, whether it’s some help collecting points from the three-point line or clutch defensive plays late in the game.
Week 3 of MyTeam Limited introduces a new challenge and a Dark Matter unit that fans can vote on whom that player will be. To enter the challenge, players can only use Northwest Division players, and up to one Pink Diamond, one Diamond, and one Amethyst can be used. The remaining players are required to be Ruby-tiered or lower, but NBA 2K22 has some solid Ruby players that can help with this challenge and improve their chances of taking this task down. Also, no Free Agent or Heat Check cards can be played, which is one of the standards set for this type of challenge.
The reward for completion is a 97-overall Galaxy Opal Kevin Durant, two boost packs, and tokens. NBA 2K22 also introduces a new locker code, which will be available for players to take advantage of for one week. Entering the code LIMITED-EDITION-4-HG6LP will grant players one Limited Edition 4 Pack, one Diamond Shoe Pack, or five tokens. With how popular the Limited Edition 4 Pack currently is and the six new Dark Matter players hitting the market, it may be wise for players to take their chances on the pack and hope for the best. The units are currently selling for as little as 100,000 tokens, and it’s certain to rise during the week.
NBA 2K22 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
